RV information

There are ample RV spots on site at the fairgrounds, with electricity hookup 20 amps, for $25.00 per night. Upgrades to 30 or 50 amp service will be available for an additional charge. Water available on site. Reservations accepted for May 15 to 18, 2025 (Friday 3pm to Monday 9am)

Check in no earlier than 3pm Friday.

Shenipsit State Forest-Soapstone Mountain

Picnic tables available · Dogs allowed

The two primary attractions are the wonderful hiking along the Blue-Blazed Shenipsit Trail which passes over Soapstone Mountain and the amazing views from the Soapstone Mountain observation tower. The Forest contains 11 parcels spread over 7,000 acres in northeastern Connecticut.

FROM POINTS NORTH
Travel Route 83 South through Somers Center, turn right onto Field Road and straight onto Egypt Road. Fairgrounds will be on your right-hand side. Parking lots are located on both sides of the road.

FROM POINTS SOUTH
Travel Route 83 North turning left onto Billings Road and left onto Egypt Road. Fairgrounds will be on your right-hand side. Parking lots are located on both sides of the road.

FROM I-91 AND POINTS WEST
Traveling I-91, North or South, take exit 47E for Route 190, into Somers Center. Turn right onto Route 83. Then turn right onto Field Road and straight onto Egypt Road. Fairgrounds will be on your right-hand side. Parking lots are located on both sides of the road.

FROM POINTS EAST
